We had a fabulous experience here. Everything gluten and dairy free are marked on the menu. As someone who has to avoid gluten for medical reasons, I am always excited to discover a new-to-me restaurant. Our server was fantastic. He brought out gluten free pitas for us and asked when we ordered if we were celiac. The food was incredible. I'm disappointed that it isn't a chain because I am hardly ever in the area and would love to come back. The Egyptian-themed decor was great. What a nice spot!
The food is incredible!! So fresh and delicious, it’s expertly prepared. Our server took time to explain the menu and was happy to substitute my green salad for tabouli. Our semi-circle booth/table had a curtain that helped dampen the overall sound but, also made things feel more intimate. I’ve ordered take out twice since our visit last week and each time I’ve received a big portion that’s just as delicious as the dine in experience.
Beautiful restaurant and amazing food. We had one of the best Babaganoush I have ever tasted and Hummus for appetizers . The Beef Kofta was seasoned to perfection served with yummy Greek potatoes and salad. Our drink of choice was Egyptian Mint Tea. Highly recommend this restaurant as an out of towner being in Saint John for a night at a nearby hotel.
The food served here is arguably among the top 3 in the entire city. I have been a loyal patron since their uptown location. From the moment we entered, we were greeted with warm smiles from the staff. Our waiter for the evening, Tanner, provided exceptional service and thoughtful recommendations. He was outstanding! The dining area is clean and spacious, accommodating large crowds with ease. The lighting is thoughtfully designed, with some areas brightly illuminated while others are softly dimmed. The beautiful decor reflects the rich culture of Egypt. Even the restroom was spotless, which is always a plus. I had never tried Egyptian tea before, but when it was recommended, it lived up to the hype—absolutely amazing! We ordered the chicken shawarma dinner plate and shrimp kebob. Both dishes were delicious, with the meats perfectly marinated in flavorful spices. Overall, it was a fantastic evening. I highly recommend this place!
I must say it was a cozy and lovely experience. The ambiance of the place was warm and inviting, making it perfect for a relaxed evening. The food was absolutely delicious, and we thoroughly enjoyed the authentic Egyptian cuisine. The poutine, 'Pile of Life' kebab, and shawarma platter were outstanding. The hummus was incredibly flavorful, and I couldn’t get enough of it. To top it off, the babosa was simply superb. This place is a must-visit for anyone who loves authentic and mouthwatering food.
This is such a beautiful restaurant to sit in and the food and service were fantastic. We had 6 people and ordered all kinds of different things and everything was so good. Everyone was happy and left full.
